Yesterday I came home to a small little milestone. William held up a piece of paper. "Hey Rebekah, what word is this?"

"I don't know!" she replied. This is typically her standard reply when we are trying to show some new skill...

So then he walked her through each letter. "What letter is this?" "S." "And this?" "T." "Right here?" "O." "And this one?" "P."

"What does that spell?"

Her eyes lit up...

"STOP!"

Righto my dear genius. Yes, my daughter IS a genius.

And that makes "stop" the first word she ever read.
