Naming writing and pants pulling

A couple weeks ago, Rebekah came home and said "Look what I can do!" Then she sat down and wrote her name out. She actually forgot the "a". When she looked it over, she said "Oops! I forgot the A!" and then proceeded to squeeze it in between the K and H.

At the Halloween party Rebekah's teacher said "It's so great you guys have been working with her, she has come a long way!" I looked at her puzzled, and she said "Oh, she said you were practicing writing her name with her at home!" I replied that we hadn't, that she just came home one day and started writing it. Her eyes lit up and she said "That is why I just LOVE this age! They learn so much so quickly! We practiced writing her name one day and the next day or so she was doing it by herself!"

So quite literally, Rebekah learned to write her name in a couple days. Yep, you could say I'm proud.

Peter, on the other hand, has mastered the art of pulling pants down. So now he runs around pulling the pants down of anyone he can find. Both kids think it is particularly funny to depants William. (He is still wondering when this won't be funny anymore...) So Peter will run up, pull down William's pants then pull down his own. He then thinks it is extra funny to run around with his pants around his ankles.

And yesterday he added the extra trick of pulling off his diaper. This is all well and good - but this particular diaper happened to be a poopy one.
