Soooo - at work we got an email discussing the recent Employee Satisfaction Survey. The largest issue was the fact that (and I'm paraphrasing) everyone works too much. I'll be the FIRST to say I don't. I have pretty clear boundaries of when I can come in and what I can do in the evening. I have never seen a benefit to working my buh-tey off - so I pretty well stopped. ;-) PLUS, I enjoy my time with my kids too much to worry about it. Sure...I'll do a little extra now and then...but it really has to be an emergency, and I have to see the benefit. I've seen too many people give up precious weekends to get something done, come in on Monday and have management throw it all away and start over.
Anyway...so everyone thinks they work too much. Many (probably even most!) do. Their solution to the problem was to give us an extra day off. I DO find that comical...one day off is not going to solve the problem. But HEY - I'm super duper happy to have it anyway.
I thought about what I was going to do all week, and it finally hit me that I wanted to get my hair done. I've been putting it off for far far too long. I'm too ashamed to admit how long it has been since I've even had a hair cut!
So I gave my friend Ashley a ring, and by some miracle she was actually available. I wasn't fast enough to get a pic...but the amount of hair she took off BEFORE starting the coloring process and AFTER was...a lot. And that doesn't begin to cover it.
OK - that may not be true. I'm not really sure...but ya know...it was STILL a lot of hair.
So far I like it! But, we'll see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully I can get myself to break the pony tail habit.
(And in case you forget what I looked like before...I happen to have a recent pic! I meant to take an official "before shot" today, but forgot!!!)
