This evening Peter was licking everything.
On our way to dinner, William tells me he thinks our kids are odd. "Really? Why?" I asked. He starred at me and said "Licking walls isn't exactly normal."
I laughed and replied that their oddities are what make our children loveable.
"Oh, I can love them even if they were to be less odd..."
"BUT! BUT! WE are odd! Of course our children are odd!"
He looked at me doubtfully and said "'WE' are not odd."
"OK - fine. I'm odd. And I wouldn't change a thing!"
"Well, our kids DO have to take after you somehow!"
And in the meantime, William is wishing Peter would at least stop licking the wall.
